大同市地處中國山西省北部，為山西省第二大城市、國家區(qū)域重點城市、國家歷史文化名城、中國大古都。大同現(xiàn)轄4區(qū)6縣和1個國家級經(jīng)濟(jì)技術(shù)開發(fā)區(qū)，占地面積1.41萬平方公里，常住人口310萬。大同的名稱與由來蘊含著豐富的歷史和文化底蘊。大同是“文旅之城”“能源之城”“算力之城”，先后榮獲國家新能源示范城市、中國優(yōu)秀旅游城市、國家園林城市、全國性交通樞紐城市、中國雕塑之都、中國十佳運動休閑城市、國際美食之都等榮譽稱號。

Datong is a national regional central city, one of the Historic and Ancient Cities of China, and one of the ten Ancient Capital Cities of China. Datong consists of 4 districts and 6 counties and one national-level economic and technological zone. Covering an area of 14,100 square kilometers, it has a population of 3.1 million. The name of the city ‘Datong’ has a profound historical and cultural context. Datong is a culture and tourism city, a new energy city and a digital economy city. Datong has the distinction of being a National New Energy Model City, a Top Tourist City of China, a National Garden City, a National Comprehensive Transport-hub City, a Sculpture Capital of China, a Top 10 Sports and Leisure City of China, an International Gourmet City etc.
